Ashley Pike has been a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Doctoral Network research fellow with the HORIZON Europe TRANSFORM project since September 2025 where she is analyzing SUMP evaluation strategies and what influences decision-making within transportation governance.

Previously, Ashley completed her master’s in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden where her thesis focused on the similarities and differences between the beliefs of transportation carbon emission and road safety planners. She completed her bachelor’s in Sustainability Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, USA where she completed research projects about international perspectives about climate change and local community support for sustainability goals and initiatives. From her prior work experience at the electric utility company in the US, Ashley also enjoys exploring connections that the energy sector has with transportation and urban design.
