Forschungsschwerpunkte
Unser übergeordnetes Ziel ist es, das Verständnis und die Vorhersagefähigkeit des lokalen Wetters und Klimas zu verbessern, mit einem besonderen Fokus auf Gebirgsregionen. Wir untersuchen zentrale atmosphärische Prozesse wie die Grenzschicht, Turbulenz, Wolken, feuchte Konvektion und durch Gelände verursachte Strömungen. Unsere Forschung trägt zur Weiterentwicklung von Wetter- und Klimamodellen bei, verbessert Luftverschmutzungsvorhersagen, fördert das Verständnis der Verteilung von Spurengasen wie CO₂, unterstützt die Energiemeteorologie und analysiert extreme Wetterereignisse.
