Alexandra Wirobek

In my PhD project, I focus on extreme heat as a natural disaster and the technologies of adaptation developed in response to it. I am particularly interested in the socio-material infrastructural work that shapes how heat is understood and addressed through economic technologies. In this context I also aim to understand how heat itself is framed as an economic issue. The objective of my research is to understand the knowledge infrastructure of extreme heat as heat (adaptation) technologies are going global.
